Volunteer Opportunities

Calling all Volunteers!

The Arboretum recruits volunteers throughout the year to participate in daily activities and special events. If propagation, gardening, leading tours, or working with wildlife interests you, please consider sharing your time and talents with us!

Please call or email Shannon Benjamin, Volunteer Coordinator for more information, at (928) 774-1442, ext. 127. or shannon.benjamin@thearb.org

Docent Training: A series of talks on the ecology of the Colorado Plateau that both informs the attendee and prepares them to give tours at the Arboretum! Sessions begin April 8th. Click here for more info

Docent Refresher and Potluck: Welcome back to our wonderful Arboretum docents!  Join us in preparation for our 2015 season for our Docent Refresher and Potluck on April 11, 2015 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Meet new and returning staff members, discover our new program vision, tour the grounds, meet our 2015 docents, and enjoy a day with your Arboretum family.  We look forward to seeing you all again!

The Flagstaff Volunteer Experience is on March 10th from 2-5 at the Coconino Center for the Arts.

Interested in volunteering in Flagstaff but not sure where to go? The Flagstaff Volunteer Experience offers an opportunity to visit with local education-based non-profits to see where you might be able to help.

Designed by the Arboretum at Flagstaff, the Arizona Historical Society, and Arizona State Parks, our goal is to connect local people and non-profits by sharing information, educational break out sessions, and a space in which volunteers and volunteer coordinators from around Flagstaff can meet, share resources and cross-pollinate to build stronger community bonds through volunteerism. Be a part of what makes Flagstaff great! Stop by and get to know us and the amazing cultural resources our sites have to offer.
