Call (928) 774-1442, ext. 124 to register today!

If you have a love for the outdoors and enjoy working with kids, this position is for you! The Arboretum is seeking field trip leaders to assist with K-5 science and nature-oriented lessons and mini-hikes on the grounds of the Arboretum.

Dear Arboretum Field Trip Leaders,

Thank you for signing-up to be one of the Arboretum's Field Trip Leaders! This past winter, we developed a much improved, brand new curriculum for our school field trips and we are excited to have such a great group of you to put it into action. The first day of our Field Trip Leader Training will be on March 28th, 10am-12:30pm. Please see the attached schedule for the rest of the dates. Each day we will meet in the Visitor Center Classroom (unless otherwise indicated on the schedule) but please dress appropriately, because most of the 2.5 hours will be spent outside.

Early next week, you will receive a copy of Beyond Ecophobia by David Sobel in the mail. It is a really short book (more of a long essay) and we would like you to have it read by March 28th. During our first training, we will discuss the concepts explored in this book and how it relates to the Arboretum's approach to environmental education.

See you on March 28th!
