Hours & admission

Hours. The Arboretum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, May 1 through October 31. Gardens are closed November 1 through April 30.

Admission. Members get in for free. Adults $7, senior (65+) $6, youth (3-17) $3, under 3: free. Call for group rates (928) 774-1442, ext.110

AZ Wildlife Up Close. Wednesday through Sunday at noon. See native species of birds, reptiles, and mammals up close with wildlife educators from the Adobe Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, May through September. FREE with admission. Learn more...

Book Shop. Browse through our selection of books on high altitude gardening, Arizona plant identification, and Colorado Plateau ecology. Arboretum mugs and hats are available as well.

Picnicking. Picnic tables are located throughout the grounds. Visitors are welcome to bring their own food. Take-out lunches can purchased at Woody's Sandwich Shoppe, located at the corner of Route 66 and Woody Mountain Rd. (2727 W. Route 66). Pets. Pets are not allowed on the grounds.

We do allow assistance animals. When you enter the Visitor Center, notify staff that you have an assistance animal with you. Owners must keep animals on a leash at all times and clean-up after them. Additionally, we request that assistance animals remain out of view of the wildlife programs which are May through September from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. and 2:00 to 2:45 p.m.  We appreciate your cooperation and your help with making The Arboretum a place that can be enjoyed by everyone. 

Smoking. Smoking is prohibited at The Arboretum.

Snow closures. The Arboretum is closed when the Flagstaff Unified School District declares a snow day. If it snows on weekend or school holiday, call (928) 774-1442 to see if we are open.
