Junior Naturalist Challenge | The Arboretum at Flagstaff
The Arboretum at Flagstaff | Junior Naturalist Challenge is an innovative educational program designed for you and your child to engage directly with Leave No Trace Principles while adhering to social distancing guidelines in a safe, outdoor setting. Get your child outside this summer, and learn all about stewardship together! Here’s how it works:
You and your child (ages 7-11) will receive a mailed packet of fun and informative Leave No Trace activities to complete at home. Once those activities are done, come on out to The Arboretum to complete the Leave No Trace Treasure Hunt, which is an I-Spy style walking tour on the 0.6 mile Inner Loop Trail. Upon completion, simply place your packet in the drop box, and we will mail the official Junior Naturalist Certificate to your home address, along with a few extra goodies!
We are excited to launch The Arboretum at Flagstaff | Junior Naturalist Challenge as a continuation of our commitment of providing safe and innovative learning opportunities to the wider Flagstaff community. This program incorporates all facets of STEAM education, and embodies the place-based, experiential style of learning that is central to the mission of The Arboretum. Register now to complete the Junior Naturalist Challenge today!
