Fragaria virginiana ssp glauco/Virginia Strawberry
A creeping, early, white, flowering ground cover. Part shade to full shade, moderate moisture. Click here for more information.
It’s not too late to plant this fall! There is still time for the perennial roots to establish themselves before the ground becomes heavy with frost. Mulch around the root system for insulation, allow the foliage to die back naturally with the cold, as it helps feed and sustain the root system. Water deeply, once or twice a week, until all the foliage has gone. A plant with no foliage needs less water. Get ready to reap your reward of a beautiful new perennial next spring and summer!
Plant orders are available for pick up on Fridays at The Arb. Any plant orders that are placed after 4:00 pm on Wednesdays will be available for pickup the Friday of the following week. All plant orders will be placed in a box or tray and labeled by name. They will be waiting for you to pick up outside the Visitor Center. If you have any questions or concerns about your plant order, please contact Cassidy via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
