Artist: Scott Sweebe

I started working metal as a high school sophomore because there were things I wanted and that was the only way I could afford them and I fell in love with shaping metal.  In the ensuing decades I have made items that were totally practical and needed, practical and wanted, impractical and wanted and totally impractical, fantasy art pieces.  Using minimalist frequently almost primitive tooling my ever-growing skills have enabled me to be in numerous shows and exhibitions.  I have also been published in a few field related journals.

I like doing garden art because it has the potential of being enjoyed by everybody.  I believe art should be more than something hung on a wall. It should be part of normal life and appreciated every time it is used.  As an artist I work to create pieces that will create shared memories and experiences.
