Why visit the Arboretum at Flagstaff?

1. Demonstration gardens featuring native plants of the Colorado Plateau.

  • Visit and learn which plants to try in your home garden.
  • Enjoy snapping photos of wildflowers, herbs and more throughout our cultivated gardens.

2. Bird watching! Over 130 species of birds have been spotted at The Arboretum. In June and July, come along on a guided bird walk!

3. Yoga! Every Saturday at 9am come and enjoy a class with a view of the San Francisco Peaks. Admission is included in the price of the class.

4. You are in need of some forest time! The Arboretum is located on 200 acres in the Coconino National Forest.

  • Turn off your devices to give yourself the best chance of relaxing, being mindful and enjoying a sensory forest-based experience.

  • Slow down. Move through the forest slowly so you can see and feel more.

  • Take long, deep breaths.

5. Dog friendly trails. The Arboretum is a safe space to walk your leashed dog. Members dogs have free admission!

6. Concerts, classes and family friendly events all summer! Bring a picnic and relax with us!

7. Plant sales! Every season we host two large native plant sales along with a smaller selection that is available all season.
