Summer Garden Party
August 29th | Gates open at 4:00pm
Our guest speaker for the Summer Garden Party will be Jack Dash, a horticulturalist and writer based in Tucson. Jack, a board member of The Arizona Native Plant Society, is the author of The Southwest Native Plant Primer, a guide for gardeners who want to use native plants and create gardens that make a positive environmental impact.
He is a passionate advocate for sustainable landscaping. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, he has immersed himself in the unique landscapes of our state, particularly the Arizona-Sonora Borderlands. He is the Gardens and Facilities Manager at Tohono Chul, a 49-acre botanical garden in Tucson, and the co-creator of the “Atascosa Borderlands,” an annotated floral study and visual storytelling project centered on the culture and ecology of the Atascosa Highlands in southern Arizona.
The event will feature locally sourced food by Square Root Foods; an open bar with wine, specialty cocktail and Mother Road Brewing Co. beer; silent auction and raffle prizes; plus live music from Two Hand Union.
