 GARDENS ASSISTANTS – SEASONAL

The Gardens Assistants work as part of the Horticulture Department’s garden maintenance program. Work will primarily be performed on the Arboretum grounds and in the gardens. However, two days a week greenhouses will need to be opened/closed, plants watered and other tasks completed to assist our Greenhouse Manager. 

VISITOR CENTER ASSISTANT- SEASONAL

Seasonal Visitor Center Assistants work with our Visitor Center Manager to carry out the day-to-day operations of the Arboretum’s visitor center. This position provides ample experience in all the areas listed below including customer service, cash reports, point of sale entry and handling of funds. We are seeking individuals who are accurate and efficient in financial details, enjoy interacting with the public and have a passion for nature. As the first contact for visitors and other guests, Arboretum attire and dress code must be observed. On the job training will occur for candidates selected for this position.

SUMMER CAMP EDUCATORS

The Arboretum at Flagstaff is seeking qualified applicants to work under the direction of the Educational Programs Director in assisting with all aspects of running a summer day camp program. The Arboretum at Flagstaff is offering five weeks of Eco Explorers Summer Camp programming for 2026. Our Eco Explorers Summer Camp operates on four themes: scientific exploration, outdoor exploration, health and stewardship. Like all of our educational programs, the Eco Explorers Summer Camp is centered on a curriculum that is place-based and hands-on, one that teaches students about the ecology of the Colorado Plateau, and instills a sense of connection with the natural world. All camps will take place at The Arboretum at Flagstaff.
