Gardeners love to hate ’em, but there’s more to an aphid than meets the eye. Come learn about these tiny bugs and the even tinier bugs that enable their hard-drinking habit. Bio: Dr. Anson Call is the Program Manager of Restoration Ecology and Forest Resilience at the Ecological Restoration Institute at NAU. Although his current work focuses on forest management and wildfire, his previous research on alfalfa pests may have earned him the nickname “Aphid Annie.” Born and raised in Utah, he’s since lived in every state in the Southwest except New Mexico.
